As a consultant in a group of 7, we worked to understand the needs and motivations of college learners within online education to arrive at 100 actionable, innovative, and cohesive content recommendations for Coursera.
AIn order to understand the average college learner, we were tasked with analyzing Coursera’s onboarding documents as well as secondary and primary research we conducted ourselves. By using R Studios and Excel’s tools, we were able to reach conclusions and build extensive customer personas for Coursera.
As our project asked, we were able to build a list of over 100 course ideas using a ranking methodology that gave each course recommendation a score. This score was based off of a popularity score and score for specific majors which we crafted using both primary and secondary research. Additionally, we provided partnership recommendations to drive the effectiveness of the online learning experience.
