Hot Country is Spotify’s top country music playlist that also serves as their main branding for the country industry. As a consultant in a group of 7, the primary goal of our project was to develop a marketing campaign for their playlist and create a voice for them in the process.
As a marketing consultant, our group was tasked with thinking creatively and feasibly in order to create an actionable and effective marketing campaign. To construct the most effective campaign, our team received over 600 surveys and conducted a handful of interviews, while also analyzing the work of competitors and other relevant case studies.
After survey and interview analysis using R and tools in excel, we were able to conclude associations with country music which we then highlighted in our campaign. Ultimately, we wanted to focus on the nostalgia and love of country music in every stage of life while also tying in the physical stages of life’s memories. Thus, “Celebrate Every Stage” was born, where I led the design and prototyping of the overall campaign’s efforts.
